Despite the financial crisis, TDC delivered a strong performance in 2009. TDC's total revenue grew by DKK 330m or 0.9% to DKK 35.9bn, EBITDA rose by 6.9% to DKK 13.0bn, and cash flow from operating activities increased by 48.2%. This is clear from TDC's earnings release for 2009 published today.

"I'm very pleased with the result for 2009, especially seen in the light of the fierce competition and difficult economic environment. We have managed to increase our revenue as well as securing significant earnings growth in a difficult market," says Henrik Poulsen, TDC's President and CEO.

TDC increased its customer base by half a million to 11.7m in 2009 through successful product launches and targeted acquisitions, and strengthened its market position in all important product areas while maintaining a high level of investment in infrastructure and new technology.

"It is TDC's ambition to become the best performing telecommunications company in Europe by 2012. In 2009, we have moved one step closer to achieving our ambition," says Henrik Poulsen.

TDC's net revenue is expected to grow by 1-3% in 2010, while EBITDA is expected to increase by 3-4% in 2010.
