The TimeBank is an exciting and unusual partnership between TDC and the humanitarian organizations: Danish Red Cross and Danish Cancer Society. The TimeBank gives employees in TDC the opportunity to spend 8 hours a year on corporate volunteering for one or more of the TimeBank partners.

With the TimeBank TDC would like to help make a difference. We want to give more, both for our own employees, to society and to the people the humanitarian organisations help.

The purpose of the TimeBank is to create value for our employees and our partners. For the employees through the time the donate to the humanitarian organizations and the experiences they receive in return and to our partners through the additional resources, personal and/or professional skills they receive.

Facts about the TimeBank:

The TimeBank started in 2001 as a collaboration between TDC and the humanitarian organisation, Børns Vilkår

In the period 2001-2006 TDC employees donated approx. 4500 staff hours on activities for Børns Vilkår

In 2007, the concept behind the TimeBank was reviewed and two additional humanitarian organizations joined the partnership; Danish Red Cross and Danish Cancer Society

The TimeBank was also used to the national fundraiser, DanmarksIndsamlingen in 2008, where 30 TDC employees attended and TDC contributed over DKK 500.000 in aid.

In 2009, Time Bank, including used to provide collectors of the Danish Red Cross Fundraiser. Nearly 60 TDC'ere got more than 500 collectors of Danish Red Cross, allowing the organization more than half a million DKK in collected funds.

In 2010, TDC will implement the campaign "We will help" to raise awareness and use of the TimeBank by TDC's employees.
