Many companies increasingly choose to place their IT solutions in the cloud, i.e. letting others handle the IT tasks that previously strained the resources of their own IT departments.
Despite a fiercely competitive Danish telecommunications market, TDC delivered solid results in 2011. TDC’s total revenue grew by DKK 137m or 0.5% to DKK 26.3bn, EBITDA rose by 1.6% to DKK 10.9bn and the Group's Equity Free Cash Flow (EFCF) increased by 1.7%.
During the first three quarters of 2011, TDC’s revenue increased by 0.3% to DKK 19.6bn, income before depreciation, amortisation and special items (EBITDA) rose to DKK 8.2bn, up by 1.5%, and TDC’s equity free cash flow grew by 11% compared with Q1 – Q3 2010. These developments are described in TDC’s financial statements for the third quarter of 2011 published today.
Denmark's digital infrastructure is making a major technological advancement today with a dramatic improvement in mobile broadband speed and user experience in Denmark as TDC launches its 4G-network.
TDC's network throughout the country now supports a brand new technology that improves the voice quality of mobile calls, HD Voice. TDC’s customers will experience the rollout as a gradual process, with business customers being the first to benefit.
TDC now offers TV apps produced specifically for Danish viewers. The first six apps are ready to ensure Danes immediate access to news, weather forecasts, music, radio, images and a special general election barometer. Several more are in the pipeline, and René Brøchner, Senior Vice President at TDC Consumer A/S, believes that the new possibilities will revolutionise how we use television.
TDC’s revenue increased by 0.4% to DKK 13.2bn in H1 2011 compared with H1 2010. Income before depreciation, amortisation and special items (EBITDA) rose to DKK 5.3bn, up by 1.6% in the same period. This is revealed in TDC’s financial statements for the first half of 2011.
Living in Denmark must become easier and safer. This is why the four telecom providers TDC, Telenor, Telia and the telecom provider 3 are joining forces to realise the vision of the digital wallet. Cash, social security card, debit cards and membership cards – everything that we physically carry around in our wallet or purse today will soon be stored digitally on our SIM card as ordinary mobile phone functions.
Today, TDC signed an agreement to take over the mobile operator Onfone. To Onfone’s 170.000 customers the deal will lead to no changes beside the fact that they will be transferred to TDC’s mobile network. Onfone will continue as a separate company with Morten Strunge as CEO. Prices, terms and conditions will remain unchanged.
In the first quarter of 2011, TDC’s income before depreciation, amortisation and special items (EBITDA) rose to DKK 2.7bn, up by 1.2% compared with Q1 2010. Revenue in Q1 2011 increased by 0.9% to DKK 6.6bn. This is revealed in TDC’s financial statements for the first quarter of 2011 published today.
